ARBOLINO FIGHTS TO SEVENTH PLACE AT DUTCH TT

Coming from 13th on the grid, Tony got off to a great start, gaining three positions on the first lap.
Tony Arbolino signed off the first half of the Moto2 2022 season with an excellent seventh place at the Assen TT circuit in front of 104,244 fans for the first full Dutch TT since 2019.

Coming from 13th on the grid, Tony got off to a great start, gaining three positions on the first lap. The 21-year-old then took part in a thrilling seven-man battle, but was unable to hold out for a podium finish from lap 13.

Arbolino then continued to maintain a consistent pace to come home just short of the race winner. The ninth place in the top ten earned today allows Tony to remain fifth in the World Championship, just 42 behind the leader. And we are still halfway through the season!

🎙️Tony:
"It was not a bad race, but I am not entirely happy with the result because I would have liked to finish higher. I started well and was improving with every lap.
I got into a lot of fights and managed to pass riders and that made me very happy, also because I noticed that the feeling with the bike was improving with every lap.
The positive things were that I had a consistent pace and that the team did a great job giving me a bike that was great in the race.
Now we will take a break and come back stronger than ever at Silverstone. We will focus on polishing the small details to be even more competitive and fight with the fastest riders in the second half of the season.
